Every seller is verified by ID and phone before their first listing goes live. On any listing you'll see their real name, how long they've been on MohallaMarketplace, and reviews left by past buyers who completed deals with them.
Because deals happen face-to-face inside your mohalla, we don't hold funds like a big marketplace. We do give you a review trail, a report button on every listing, and a moderator who reads every report within a working day.
Yes. Use the Ask button on any listing. Your question and the seller's answer become public on that listing, so future buyers benefit from the same information.
Don't complete the deal. Walk away, and open a report from the listing. Sellers with confirmed reports lose their verified badge and can be removed after repeat issues.

No. Listing is free and we don't touch the money. We stay funded through optional bumps for high-volume sellers and a small monthly plan for shops.
Any time, from your dashboard. Sold items are marked "sold" rather than deleted, so your seller history stays visible for future buyers.
You upload a government ID once. Our team matches it to your account name and confirms it's you. Your ID is never shown to other users. Only your verified badge and real name are.
Open the report button on their listing or profile. Reports go straight to a human moderator. For anything urgent or unsafe, call local police first and let us know after.
Somewhere public inside your mohalla during daylight if you can. Building lobbies, cafes, and community halls are common. Never share your flat number until you've agreed on the deal.
Yes, from settings. Your listings will move with you. Your seller history and reviews stay attached to your account.
From settings, choose "Close my account". Active listings come down immediately. Reviews you left on others stay, so their history isn't erased when you leave.
Your name, contact details, listings, reviews, and chat history. We don't sell any of it to advertisers. Full details in the privacy policy.
